I haven't said anything about health care for a reason...

If I were to express my feelings, the language use would be offensive even to my fucking standards. Thankfully, there are others who are able to express their feelings about this better than I would. And here is just one of the many people denied health insurance for preexisting conditions. Here is one of those "irresponsible" people who many would have you believe just doesn't deserve access to health care.

(Stephanie has an especial lot of posts and links)

As Greg puts it, makes me want to go out and slug the first motherfucker who goes on a tare about universal health care.

I was actually able to keep my language somewhat under control. Keeping the conversation active, and pointing out the stupidity when we see it is the best way, in my opinion. Don't give the morons an inch, or they'll keep expecting us to back down.

In the U.S., we should stop funding abortions and use the money to save help these little kids. I have never understood why liberals are out to end the lives of these precious lives. We should use the money to help these kids!!

Right, because the right wing is all about pro-life up until they're squirted out the womb, then they're on their fucking own. Keep the health care system, tear down the insurance scam system that's put itself between you and your doctor, and make abortions "safe, legal and rare" rather than unsafe, illegal and black-market.

The same person who supports ending the life of a baby is trying to defend the right of a baby to have health insurance.

Since the parents most likely believe in abortion, they should have done the kid a favor and aborted it prior to giving birth. Why introduce weak genes into the human gene pool or so go the argument made by Atheist.

I said that we should use the money from all those abortions to support the kids once the child is alive. Everyone deserves a chance at life!

I just think it interesting to note that you don't think the baby deserved a chance in the first place since he obviously has genetic problems.

Anon - Post with a fucking name or get the fuck out of here. I don't give a fuck what you call yourself - use something or the next comment gets deleted, along with the turds you already dropped.

Being prochoice does not mean we want people to have abortions - get that through your fucking skull. Nor does it mean we are, any of us, supporters of eugenics - that would rather tend to be very much a movement that transcends the left/right dichotomy. Though you might want to consider just who was so supportive of the idea of the U.S. eugenics programs of the turn of the century and the forced sterilizations of African Americans, that lasted into the late forties, early fifties.

I just think it interesting to note that you don't think the baby deserved a chance in the first place since he obviously has genetic problems.

Who the fuck is advocating that position? Certainly not anyone here.

It occurs to me that I should ask you anonymous coward, what do you propose for little ones like her, when they are no longer children and have irresponsibly not died yet? She is going to have this preexisting condition for the rest of her life - she will not be able to get health insurance for the rest of her life.

So what about these little ones, when they are no longer little?
