About twenty years ago, another awful case happened down here in Florida. A man was stopped on his way from Tallahassee to his home in Miami. He had something like $80,000 in cash in his car. The Volusia County Sheriff's Department seized the cash even though the man could prove that he had won the money from playing the lottery.
